Bureau Veritas Showcases Integrated Solutions for New Energy, Sustainability, and Cybersecurity at Energy Taiwan
Oct. 6 2026
Empowering Businesses to Capture Net-Zero Opportunities
As global warming intensifies, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report highlights that rising global temperatures continue to aggravate species extinction, ecosystem collapse, and declining food production. Decarbonization has become an urgent imperative and a shared global objective. In response, the Taiwan released the "12 Key Strategies for Taiwan’s 2050 Net-Zero Emissions Pathway" in 2023. Key industrial sectors targeted for net-zero emissions include solar energy, wind power, hydrogen, forward-looking energy, power systems, energy storage, and energy conservation. Taiwan anticipates allocating nearly NT$900 billion in budget by 2030, driving over NT$4 trillion in private investment and generating an estimated NT$5.9 trillion in output value. Amid rising demand for low-carbon electricity and surging power consumption from AI and technology industries, nuclear energy has re-emerged as a key topic in Taiwan's energy transition. Following the passage of amendments to the Nuclear Reactor Facilities Regulation Act by the Legislative Yuan, Taiwan has accelerated discussions and preparations regarding the potential restart of Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant and Maanshan Nuclear Power Plant.
Celebrating its 5th edition since inception in 2022, "Net-Zero Taiwan", held alongside "Energy Taiwan," will take place from October 14 to 16 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. The exhibition focuses on deep energy efficiency, circular economy, green power trading, carbon reduction/negative carbon technologies, energy management and integrated services, carbon management applications, green finance, and climate tech. By deepening and broadening industry coverage—incorporating building decarbonization, low-carbon transportation, and innovative technologies—the event empowers enterprises to strengthen green competitiveness and capture future net-zero business opportunities.

As a world leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC), France-headquartered Bureau Veritas (BV) will once again participate in the Asia-Pacific region’s most influential green energy and net-zero transformation platform. BV’s Consumer Products Services, Industry, and Certification Divisions have joined forces to focus on the three foundational pillars of net-zero transformation: New Energy × Sustainability × Cybersecurity, Combined with BV’s training services, these solutions help organizations strengthen workforce capabilities and organizational resilience, accelerating their journey toward both net-zero transformation and digital transformation.
New Energy
- Tackling the 5MW Energy Regulation Mandate: One-Stop Behind-the-Meter Solar & Storage Certification In response to the Ministry of Economic Affairs' anticipated 5MW mandatory threshold under the Energy Management Act, combined with the 2027–2030 AI power gap, enterprises are accelerating the deployment of self-consumption "solar-plus-storage microgrids." Bureau Veritas provides IEC 62933 third-party site verification covering early-stage Design Review, laboratory Type Testing, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). This comprehensive verification enables major energy users to fast-track approvals for Taipower grid connection, Energy Administration regulatory review, insurance underwriting, and green financing. Additionally, BV offers grid compatibility, functional safety, and Taiwan VPC mark testing for high-power Power Conversion Systems (PCS, 360kW+), solar inverters, and battery storage systems.
- Hydrogen & Advanced Energy Verification Showcasing testing, inspection, and verification capabilities across energy storage and new energy fields to ensure system safety and regulatory compliance. In line with global green hydrogen trends, BV introduces the "Renewable Hydrogen Label" alongside full-lifecycle TIC services covering hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and nuclear energy.
- Battery Chemical & Performance Verification Offering Battery Chemical Testing and performance verification services—including material analysis, hazardous substance screening, and safety evaluations—to ensure battery products meet international regulations (such as IEC 62619 / UL 1973) and market demands, supporting safe and sustainable energy storage applications.
Sustainability
- Providing carbon footprint accounting, decarbonization roadmaps, supply chain carbon data management, and carbon neutrality advisory services to assist enterprises in establishing robust ESG governance.
- Quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions arising from transport chain operations : BV provides ISO 14083 and training services to help organizations quantify, report, and manage transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing the credibility of sustainability disclosures.
- Energy and Carbon Management: BV offers sustainability certification, verification, and training services covering ISO 50001, ISCC, GHG Protocol, and CBAM, helping organizations enhance governance and accelerate their sustainability journey.
Cybersecurity & AI Dual Governance
- IoT & Industrial Cybersecurity: With the expansion of smart manufacturing and IoT applications, BV delivers end-to-end cybersecurity testing and certification—including product security evaluations, penetration testing, and management system assessments (e.g., IEC 62443,EN 303 645, EN 18031, UK PSTI, JC Star)—to fortify information defense and ensure operational safety.
- Dual Governance for the AI Era: BV offers certification and training services for ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, and ISO/IEC 42001, helping organizations address cybersecurity and AI governance requirements while balancing innovation and responsible AI adoption.
Through these three core pillars—New Energy, Sustainability, and Cybersecurity—Bureau Veritas demonstrates its comprehensive technical leadership, partnering with industrial leaders to create a sustainable, net-zero future.
Recognized for two consecutive years as one of the World's Best Companies by TIME Magazine, recently added to the CAC 40 Index in Paris, and awarded an A Grade by CDP. Furthermore, BV has recently Receives Accreditation for CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) Verification Services, reinforcing our leading capabilities in greenhouse gas management, carbon accounting, and sustainable supply chain assurance. BV combines global resources with local expertise. As "Trust Makers," BV reduces operational risks, meets societal needs, and fosters trust among enterprises, government agencies, and consumers.BV warmly invites industry partners and decision-makers to visit our booth and explore emerging transformation opportunities and solutions.
